Softball's all time winningest coach, Carol Hutchins, who has coached the University of Michigan Wolverines softball program for 29 seasons, stepped down August 29th of this year.
When asked what her most prized coaching tool was, Carol pulled out a small board with magnets bearing the names of the softball players.
"Ouija board, Ouija board, how are we going to win today?” Hutchins would ask before games. Yes, she resorted to a talking board, something created as a means of communicating with the afterlife in the late 1800's, as a valuable coaching device!
