Well, its day 4,286 of the Coronavirus shutdown, and while business has slowed down a lot, it has not stopped altogether! We are doing what we do best, designing and printing awesome new t-shirts guaranteed to put a smile on your face, even in the wake of this virus!
But I am here to talk about other businesses for a minute, and the importance of supporting your local business owners in this time of need. By now, you all know how important it is to spend your dollars locally, and the effect it has in your local economy, but what you may not know is that we are on the verge of losing thousands of local companies over the next few weeks.
Big box stores have contingency plans for things like viral outbreaks, but mom and pop shops barely plan for road construction outside their stores! Losing foot traffic is forcing business owners to lay off valuable employees, reduce hours, or temporarily shut down...all very detrimental to their hopes of ever reopening again.
BUT YOU CAN HELP, AND HERE ARE 5 WAYS!
1. Order curbside pick up from your favorite local restaurant: I think its time you have a date night! Order a meal, pick it up curbside, bust out the good silverware, light some candles, and voila, bring the restaurant experience to you!
2. Grab a growler of your favorite local microbrew, a bottle of your favorite local wine, or your favorite local booze: Your favorite local breweries, wineries, and distilleries need YOU! And as an added bonus, local distilleries are even making hand sanitizer, so you can kill the coronavirus AND mix up a wonderful cocktail!
3. SHOP ONLINE: Your favorite local stores....and your favorite local t-shirt company(ahem...Tee See Tee) all have websites and facebook pages where you can shop safely in the comfort of your home, and we will deliver great locally made products TO YOU!
